Suggest Alternate Treatment For Thyroid

hello, I have had my thyroid fully removed due to papillary cancer and now waiting for radioiodine treatment but it is the loss of income I am having trouble with. I have recently recieved a check to help pay for bike insurance but is there anything else I could ask about?

Hi,

Welcome to HCM. I have gone through the question and understand your concerns.

Radio iodine treatment is essential after thyroid removal in papillary carcinoma thyroid. There are national centres where this treatment is given at a subsidised rate. You can check about this with your doctor.

Once that treatment is over the follow up of papillary carcinoma is not that expensive. You need some blood tests every 6 months and the expenses is join to come down if there is no recurrence.

Hope I have answered your questions. If you have any further queries I will be happy to help you.

Regards,
