Hi,
Welcome to Healthcare Magic.
I am Dr Ramadevi Wani. I appreciate your concerns.
You seem to have recurrent/persistent
bacterial vaginosis.
Consult doctor and use a different antibiotic and see. While on medicines, do not have sex or use condoms during sex.
If it is persistent even after this treatment consult your doctor again. Your doctor will prescribe you monthly suppressive treatment with Metranidazole and
Diflucan for few months. This treatment has known to reduce the incidence of bacterial vaginosis and promote colonization of vagina with normal flora.
There is no evidence that probiotics really help in bacterial vaginosis. If you feel that it is helping you, you may continue to use.
Do not use douches, perfumes, etc.
Use loose cotton garments.
Eat healthy diet and take multivitamins to boost your immunity.
I hope this is helpful.
If you have further concerns, I will be happy to answer.
