As per your complain cold, itchy throat and sinus congestion seems to be the symptoms of upper respiratory tract infection or common cold and as it is viral infection it is true that you need not to take antibiotics.. You can continue taking Ibuprofen and Vitamin C but you should also take anti-allergics like Benadryl or Levocetrizine or Claritin. You can take decongestants like Phenylephrine and Mucolytics like Ambroxol.. You can do warm saline gargles, steam inhalations and use a humidifier in your room.. You can sip on plenty of warm water.. You can do saline nasal irrigations and use nasal decongestants containing Xylometazoline.. Avoid spicy and chilled foods and take a soft diet..
