Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My daughter's class has had lice for about 5 months, since the beginning of the school year. We found we had them in October. Treated with Nix, Rid and a prescription. As I have received notifications we have been retreating her hair and using a spray-in conditioner. Why is it that I am still finding dead lice every time I comb her hair?
Thank you for query.please see that the source of infection is removed.wash all the blankets pillows bedding dresses etc which is likely to harbor lice.so that complete chance of reinfection of lice is nil. Also treat if any others in family/friends who is closely associated with her.treat all of them simultaneously.Retreat them again after 1 week to even exterminate the eggs hatched .You can get back to me for any clarifications with the photos and details.Dr Bharatesh D Basti Dermatologist and Venereologist
