Suffers From Night Terrors. Why Is Behavior Uncontrollable Sometimes With Lack Of Focus?

hi, my 4yr old daughter suffers from night terrors and in the last 3 months there nearly every night and occur 3 to 4 times, she has not been herself and had to be taken to hospital due to a collapse at school for the first time, and for that day she just wanted to sleep, the school has also notice she has been going into her own world then returns back to what she was doing a few seconds before, ive noticed that some morning/ afternoons all she wants to do is sleep but after 45 mins she full of beans, her mood swings are changing very quickly too and her behoviour is uncontrollable at times, she has just a an brain wave test (eeg?) and still waiting for results, i was just seeing if the night terrors was linked to these fits and behoviour??

Hi,

Thanks for writing to health care magic.

Regarding night terror try to check if she is facing any stress at home or at school. It could be a problem with the teacher at school or friends or parents. Even small things which we do not feel that it could cause stress could cause some stress in child.

It could be small quarrel between parents or a threatening school mate.. Please find out what is causing stress and try to avoid this.

If she has seizures the cause should be evaluated and treated with antiepileptics

Hope this helps.
Take care
