Hi there.

Impetigo is a bacterial infection affecting the skin & hair follicles & it does seem strange that you get it only on the eyelids. Could it be possible, it is a different clinical entity?

Dermatology is a very 'visual' field & as such, this rash needs to be viewed & it would be great if you could upload a clear digital photograph of the lesion onto this website using the upload data icon.

For the record a topical & systemic antibiotic should see you through this period. However, a local application of a 2% mupirocin ointment to the body openings..ext nares, anus & ears at night for a week & repeated each month for a week over a 3 mth period may just help take care of the resident bacterial overgrowth & help your case.

Here's wishing you a quick recovery & clear skin sooon. Cheers!
