Increase in eosinophil count (eosinophilia) is the body s defense mechanism against allergens and parasite attack. Management involves: 1. Treatment of the underlying cause. 2. Antihistamine preparations for symptomatic relief. 3. Corticosteroid preparations to prevent hyper-responsiveness of the immune systm. But they should be taken only under the guidance of a Physician. 4. Maintainance of adequate hydration & proper nutrition status.
