General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello dear,

Eosinophils are a type of white blood cells that play a role in the body’s immune response.
Increase in eosinophil count (eosinophilia) is the body's defense mechanism against allergens and parasite attack.

Management involves:
1. Treatment of the underlying cause.
2. Antihistamine preparations for symptomatic relief.
3. Corticosteroid preparations to prevent hyper-responsiveness of the immune systm.
But they should be taken only under the guidance of a Physician.
4. Maintainance of adequate hydration & proper nutrition status.

Apart from this, few preventive measures needs to be followed such as changing the pillow covers, avoid sleeping in front of the blower of air conditioner or directly under the fan and avoid exposure to cold, dust, smoke and other allergens.

Wishing your daughter a Good Health.
Take care.

Hi,
In any allergen present in body can cause Eosinophilia.
In children worm infestation is very common and eosinophilia is common in worm infestations.
Go for one course of anti-helminth syrup.
For eosinophilia specific medicine is Di-Ethyl Carbamazine ( Hetrazan ).
Consult your doctor and go for these medicines with dosage and duration of treatment.
Your daughter will get sure cure of her condition.
Ok and take care.

Hi, many thanks for the query!
Cause of eosinophilia is important and once found & treated, eosinophil count
will come down.
Causes are many like allergies, parasitic infections etc.
You haven't mentioned about any symptoms..
Get examined by your doctor for exact cause & treatment accordingly.
Wish you a good health.
Take care.
Regards.
