Suffering from stomach pain, tingling in finger. BP 150/100, very fit. What is wrong?

My son is going to be 40 in a few weeks. He is very fit, exercises, lifts weights, eats healthy (no junk foods). 6 3 Today he wasn t feeling well, his blood pressure is 150/100 is this something to be concerned about? He had a CTscan of his stomach a week ago because he is suffering from stomach pains and has tingling in his fingers. What should he do?

Thanks for posting,

What he should do is get his BP checked regularly and if it continuously is high after a couple of weeks then it is most likely he is having hypertension which will require antihypertensive medication(s) to control it. He should probably reduce his salt intakes (if not already reduced), drink less alcohol, reduce fat intake, exercise more.
It might just be a transitory high blood pressure that will normalize subsequently and will require nothing extra to be done. The stomach pain might just be a colic and might not be related to the increased BP.

Hope this clarifies you a little.
