Suffering From Less Sexual Desire. Gained Weight. Guide

Hello M. Chandan,

For a few months I've been having less sexual desire even with all the protein intake which in a normal case should give me a much higher sexual boost. I also can't hold an erection for a long time, and it doesn't really feel fun to get involved in sexual activities as it was in the past. I feel like my nervous system in my male reproductive system won't function properly. I am 20 years old, plus I've gained some extra weight lately. Please let me know how I can fix this issue, I am still attracted to girls but it just doesn't feel the same.

Thanks alot

Psychiatrist 's  Response
Hello,
Thanks for choosing health care magic for posting your query.
In your questions, although it is very elaborate, you have failed to mention whether you have an ejaculation and then you loose and erection or is it that you loose an erection early before you ejaculate. In the first case it will be a premature ejaculation and in the next case it will be erectile dysfunction. The treatments for both of the illnesses are somewhat different.
There could also be an underlying depression which could be leading to your sexual problem and which may not be very evident. You should seek a psychiatrist who can discuss with you in detail and clarify a few more details. Both the conditions are treatable and hence you should not worry!
Just seek some help.
Hope I am able to answer your concerns.
If you have any further query, I would be glad to help you.
