General & Family Physician 's  Response
It seems ur daughter had rheumatic fever, and probably a rheumatic carditis.
Kindly undergo an echocardiogram to find out the effects of rheumatic carditis.
Usually penicillin v tablet is enough, 250mg twice daily. or penidure injection once in 3 weeks. This s to prevent further episodes of sorethroat leading to rheumatic fever or carditis.
Augmentin is not needed in ur case, and it s a little broad spectrum antibiotic; Not advisable to take it in longterm.
What u need now is an echocardiogram, repeat ASO titre and penicillin prophylaxis for next 5yrs
