Suffering From Hives. Had A Stomach Viral Infection. Are These Related? Taking Mucinex For Cough And Congestion

For the last 5 days I ve had hives . They seem to be more active after eating. I ve also had a stomach virus for last 3 days. Hives much less yesterday when could not eat. Could the stomach virus and hives be related. I was also taking Mucinex DM for a cough and congestion. Stopped 4 days ago because thought this was causing hives.

Sometimes viral infection do cause such hives. But, we cannot attribute to it, always, as there can be plenty of other causes as well.
Moreover, hives appearing suddenly can sometimes be due to allergic response and can be serious sometimes. Please undergo physical exam with you GP.
