Suffering From Gastritis. Tests Show Lining Of Colon And Stomach Irritated. Can Eating Lots Of Watermelon Cause This?
I have gastritis at times. tests show that the lining of my stomach and colon are irritated. I should watach what I eat. at times I get these attacks with loud belching sounds like a frog and it takes a while to relieve my symptons. the gastrologists said to take gas x or tums. it usually comes at night or in the evening. I think when I eat a lot of watermelon it hits me. Can this cause the problem?
hi thank you for the query madam/sir gastritis itself is the sole cause of your symptoms of belching and secondly it could be due to loss of LES tone resulting in GE reflux...water melon does not cause such ymptoms and more over it is advisable to tale roughage like water melon stuff...start taking PPI s as prescribed by your GP and if possible get an UGI done thank you hope I have answered your query regards DR.Alekhya
