Suffering From Fever. On Dolo. Is It Okay To Use Antibiotics During Pregnancy?

hello dr.meenakshi sahu Im entering my 6th month of pregnancy in a few days and i have been suffering from fever from last two days,my body temperature varies between 102 to 104 and soo..,my doctor had suggested dolo 650 3 times a day but its working only temporarily so i took some antibiotics febrex 500 and some other which controlled my body temperature to normal but can i use antiboitics during this stage of pregnancy?

Hello, I would be happy to help you with your question.

A fever of 102-104 during pregnancy is extremely high and extremely abnormal. Your doctor needs to see you and determine the source of the infection. If you have a kidney infection, for example, you need to be in the hospital getting antibiotics through the IV. It is not appropriate to manage this over the phone!

Most antibiotics that we would use in pregnancy are safe, but there are ones which are definitely more risky. I hesitate to review this part of your question now as you need to be seen as soon as possible and evaluted.
