Suffering From Excessive Irritability , Crankiness, Depression, Pain In Lower Abdomen, Breast Tenderness, Hot Flushes. Reason?
hi my friend is suffering from excessive irritability , crankiness, depression , pain in lower abdomen , breast tenderness, hot flushes since last 1 week. she got her periods 6-7 days later than usual.( her cycle is 21 days but this time it was 28 days). she now has more than usual clots passing(dark red- that too on the first day). her irritability symptoms were so profound that she used to cry for hours and was unable to control. Also she is urinating more often.

Your friend is probably having "Pre Menstrual Dysphoric disorder" which consists of anxiety, irritability, depressive symptoms prior to beginning of menstrual cycle. Breast tenderness and hot flushes can also occur in that period. Since she has delayed periods and dark red clots, visit to a gynaecologist is needed initially. After that she should visit a psychiatrist for some medication like antidepressant/antianxiety agents to alleviate those symptoms.
