Hi Mr MIshra,

Thank you for posting your query.

It is unfortunate that your epilepsy is not well controlled despite taking five different anti-epileptic drugs.

You require evaluation to find out whether you have medically refractory epilepsy (a type of epilepsy that does not get controlled with medicines).

If you have medically refractory epilepsy (which is most likely the case here, as you are not responding to five different anti-epileptic drugs); then epilepsy surgery is an option.

If you wish, you may come to Apollo Hyderabad for the evaluation.

Best wishes,
Dr Sudhir Kumar MD DM (Neurology)
