Hello
Thank you for getting in touch with us. As I see, your grandma has been diagnosed with Diabetes and kidney infection. In individuals with kidney disease, excretion of water and other liquid products is not easy. Therefore, the patients are advised to drink liquids and eat citrus fruits in limited quantity. The swelling on her legs is also due to inability to excrete liquids. It would have been better if you would have told us in detail about kidney infection as that would help us advice you about the possible treatment plans and whether to start with dialysis. Hope this helps
