Suffering from cold and cough, runny nose. Cofdex taken for dry cough. Can I use almox?

hi,this is Pratima.i have been suffering from cold and cough for last10 started with runny nose immediately i caught the a days my nose is always filled with cough and during night it is always dry cough.i have taken a syrup named 'cofdex'.but it hasn't relieved me yet.i have taken almox 500 from a medical shop,is it ok?

Hi, Thanks for the query, but I am sorry to says that self medication is very dangerous and please don't take in future , if need. You know that Cofdex as its name indicates might contains Codein ( opium) that is not good for health and furthur habit forming drug. Amoxycycllin are not good because in my opinion you have simple common cold with allergic bronchitis so please consult a doc. He might prescribe some bronchodilators which will give you complete relief. Good luck for speedy recovery.
