Hello dear,

Chronic sialadenitis is the chronic infection/inflammation of the salivary gland.
It is usually caused due to poor oral hygiene, blockage of the salivary duct resulting in decreased salivary flow, etc.

Management involves:
1. Treatment of the underlying cause.
2. Maintain adequate hydration & good oral hygiene.
3. Use of sialogogue to stimulate salivary secretion.
4. Analgesics to take care of pain.
5. If infection is present, then it should be managed with antibiotics depending up on culture & sensitivity reports.

So, kindly consult your Physician & discuss regarding the treatment plan.

There is no need to worry...your child will be fine.
Wishing him a good health & a speedy recovery.
Thanks & take care.
