Suffering From Black Stools, Slight Constipation. Can These Be Signs Of Pregnancy?

Hey doctor.. This is a very weird question to ask but!!* Here it goes...... I want to be pregnant so bad, that if I i see something weird happening to my body i googole it to see how common it is? I have been having black stools , feeling a little bit constepated.. Can this be a sign of pregnancy? Don t laugh please.. So weird! But i will be waiting for your answer..* Can t wait to hear what your going to say.

Thank you for the query.

Constipation can appear due to pregnancy. So it some cases it can be a symptom of it.
However black stools are rather unlikely to be a symptom of pregnancy. Always when black stool appears (especially tarry like) it should be checked with bleeding from upper digestive tract. Bleeding from peptic ulcer usually appears in such way.
Other possible reason of black stool is Iron supplements intake.

So if your stool is tarry like and you have been suffering from upper abdominal pain, I suggest you to visit your doctor, have blood work and upper GI endoscopy performed.
