Hello,

This is not normal. There can be emotional as well as certain conditions causing this.
A clinical evaluation and counselling with sex therapist is always recommended for planning appropriate treatment and it will also decide outcome of treatment.

Few things can help are thought monitoring, wear condom, use analgesic numbing gel, use various different methods like stop and start, specific exercises, counseelling and finally if needed few medications can be added.

Since there are multiple treatment options one needs professional help in this.Doctors dont make you feel embarrassed, so dont worry.

Regards.
