Suffer AFib And Persistent Prostatitis, Prescribed Cipro, Advised To Masturbate. Are Masturbation And Cipro To Cause Serious AFib ?

I am a 71 year old with AFib and persistent Prostatitis. My Urologist prescribed 8 weeks of Cipro 500 mg 2/da. He also told me to have sexual intercourse 2-3 times a week. (My wife has severe scolliosis so sex is out so my Dr. suggested masturbation 2 to 3 times a week instead.) I have two concerns. 1.) I know that my blood pressure and heart rate go up following masturbation, and I also feel rather poorly for 24 hours following ejaculation. (head ache, nervousness, funny feeling in my left chest, malaise.) 2.) I am worried that there could be problems taking Cipro associated with my AFib (QT prolongation issues.) Are the masturbation and Cipro issues going to cause serious AFib consequences in the near future? Thanks for your response

Thanks for your query.Based on the facts that you have posted it appears that you have
Atrial Fibrillation and Prostatitis.

Your family Physiscian has advised you to take Ciprofloxacin and to masturbate twice a week get your prostatic secretions discharged so that the prosttic secretions will not get stagnted in prostate and will help you to reduce the proste congestion.

The symptoms like head ache and palpitation that you get are due to symphathetic activities that occue during sexual activity and are not due to ciprofloxacin which is antibiotic and has antibacterial action.

Your symptoms are most likely to be due anxiety.

Please do not worry these symptoms will get resolved over a period of time.
