Sudden Weight Loss. Blood Test Shows Raised CEA. Stool Sample Shows Positive Fecal Occult. Cause?

my husband has been going through tests because of sudden weight loss ,his blood test came back with raised cea 14.2 than he had a stool sample taken which came back with positive faeccal occult ,he is having cat scan today and seeing bowel surgeon on friday is there any other conditions besides cancer that can cause all these syptoms thanks debbie

colorectal carcinoma, gastric carcinoma, pancreatic carcinoma, lung carcinoma and breast carcinoma, medullary thyroid carcinoma are tumor conditions where CEA level is raised. Non malignant conditions are ulcerative colitis, pancreatitis, cirrhosis, COPD, Crohn's disease as well as in smokers.
