Sudden Onset Of Headache, Vomiting Sensation, Red Blotches On Arm Followed By Bruise After A Day With Swimming. Cause And Remedy?

Hello... My 15 year old daughter woke up this morning with what looked like a bruise or bite on her hand . I didn t think much of it. We spent day at park tubing and swimming in lake. When we came home she started feeling bad. It started with a headache , threw up and then I noticed 2 more of the red oval blotches on her arm that I did not notice before.

Dear t.arflack..apologies for being direct..but please do go to see your dermatologist asap. Dont mean to scare you but the vomiting & headache dont make for happy bedfellows. Swimming in ponds/lakes while highly entertaining, cause a lot more problems medically as opposed to a 'flowing stream' of water. It is more likely than not, your daughter has a 'viral' ailment but the 'bite/scratch' on the hand worries me & aught to be 'seen' by a specialist..it may just be nothing to worry about but go across to a medical facility. The treatment will be simple & curative & may involve a course of antibiotics (depending on causative agent). Hope it all works out well for you & your little one.
