Stroke. Rectified As Moyamoya Disease, Surgery Advised. Any Recommendations?

HI,
My sister is 28years old. Shes had 3 strokes since last week. Finally the Dr did a test that shows she has Moyamoya disease . She's at Mercy General hospital in Sacramento CA. Few dr told us that she should get the surgery done at Stanford because they have done more surgery 's there. Well her medical insurance is saying it won't be covered, Now the hospital is saying ok we will do it. We are scared for them to do the surgery because they had told us that we should go to Stanford . What should we do ?

Hi, you are correctly reacting, because they them self refered to the stanford hospital , and as you say you can't go there they are prepared to do it here.
It is a cardiac surgery , so you should be caustious of the circumstances. Here the doctors can do it but they may not have all the facilities here.
If in stanford they will have all necessory measures for critical care. Thank you.
