Hi Delronisha.

Thanks for the query.

Do you have nausea, vomiting, constipation or loose stools ?

Does the pain relieve on eating food ?

There could be many causes for this kind of pain. Commonly gastritis, gall bladder problems, menstrual pain etc. can cause this.

Usually in gastritis the pain is in the upper abdomen and associated with nausea. It can increase with starvation and decrease with eating food. Spicy food, smoking, alcohol can cause more pain.

Try to eat more of yoghurt and bland food, plenty of fresh fruits and green leafy vegetables. Drink plenty of water. Avoid junk food, caffeine, colas and crash or severe dieting.
If eating yoghurt and curds do not relieve the pain, it is advisable to consult a Gastroenterologist to rule out Stomach ulcers, Gall bladder problems.

You can take Capsule Omeprazole for relief from gastritis. It is to be taken as 20mg capsule for adult, twice a day, half an hour before a meal.

Wishing speedy recovery.
