General Surgeon 's  Response
Welcome to HCM
Greetings of the day
I am a Pediatric Surgeon and i encounter lot many cases of Constipation, it takes lot of patience from both the doctor and parents for treatment. Majority of the time its due to dietic factor and consumption of inadequate water. Avoid the following food refined sugar and refined wheat, chocolates, bread, biscuits and other bakery products like bread and cakes. For her age she should atleast have 8-10 glasses of water per day. give her servings of fresh fruit instead of fruit juices, a plate of vegetable salad per meal. Put her on laxative like Syrup Lactulose 5ml twice a day( adjust the dose till she passes well formed stools every day), don't exceed more than 30 ml. Retention enema with Normal saline and glycerine will be helpful. Consult a Pediatric Surgeon and he/she wil guide you well.
Take Care
