Addiction Medicine Specialist 's  Response
Hi,

Both alcohol and cigarettes cause gastric irritation. Anxiety is also likely to worsen a few hours after a heavy bout of drinking as withdrawal sets in. For now, taking antacids or acid production reducing agents like ranitidine, famotidine, omeprazole etc will help. Also avoid spicy and oily foods for a few days. In the long run, cut down on smoking and alcohol as much as you can. Especially, try to avoid bingeing.

Best wishes.
