You have already started alot of the lifestyle measures that are usually suggested to deal with the problem of GERD- gastroesophageal reflux. The only other measures would be to decrease fatty/fried or spicy food and wait at least 2 hrs after eating before lying down.
In addition to the above you may want to add an H2 blocker .These medications (for example losec
or prolosec) cause a decrease in acid production.
