Stinging Burning In Penis Worse After Walking And Urinating. Had Turp Operations 3 Months Back. Advice?

hi having severe stinging burning in the penis worse after waking and urinating at night .Urine tests have not shown an infection I had my TURP operation 3 months ago .Could this be due to nerve damage or something my body is producing like salt in the blood.? My urologist says it may take more months to settle ,but does not seem to know the reason for this stinging since the prostate has healed and he could not see any inflammation after he did a cytoscopy examination last week .Can you help me.?

Good day !

It is not unusual if you will have recurrent infection after a cysto TURP. You will need to have a urinalysis or a urine culture to check for urinary tract infection. Other problems like strictures and bladder neck contracture are already ruled out because your Urologist did a cystoscopy and he thinks everything is fine inside.

Nerve damage with a TURP is highly improbable and I would still think of infection as a culprit of your pain/stinging sensation. Salt in the blood? drink plenty of fluids around 2-3 liters to dilute the urine and will make it easier for you to wash away the infection.

I hope I have succeeded in providing the information you were looking for. Please feel free to write back to me for any further clarifications at: http://www.HealthcareMagic.com/doctors/dr-manuel-c-see-iv/66014 I would gladly help you. Best wishes.
