Stiffness In Elbows, Feet, Lower Leg And Knees, Feel Hot. Menopause ?

I have stiffness in my elbows for a while but recently stiffness in my feet and lower leg & knees in the mornings & in my knuckles & stiffen up when I sit for short spells. I am 52 woman also have regular episodes of being hot which I do not think is menopausal symptoms . I have had test for rheumatoid arthritis which was negative. I am active & walk a few miles most days

Hi,
From history it appears that you might be having some osteo-artheritis changes in your joints giving rise to this problem.
Depletion of estrogen in menopause does cause osteoporosis producing this type of picture.
Go for physiotherapy regularly and daily.
Take calcium, Vitamin A and D supplements.
You may take pain reliever as and when required.
Ok and take care.
