Stage Four Lung Cancer, Weakness, Low Blood Pressure, Coughing Blood. Prognosis And Life Expectancy?

Our friend has Stage IV lung cancer , and has moved in with us so that we can care for him. He is performing daily functions, but spends most of his time on the couch. He is very weak and his blood pressure is low: 95/77. His appetite is good, but he is coughing up blood and often has trouble getting his breath. Can you tell us what to expect?

Hi, generally stage IV lung cancer patients survive for 1 to 2 months without chemotherapy and 10to 18 months with chemotherapy. You have not mentioned about ongoing treatment. From history, it looks like his condition is deteriorating. It would be great if you can discuss in more details about chemotherapy. Thank you.
