Dear friend, welcome and thanks for entrusting your query here at HCM!
I am Dr. Prasad Akole (Critical Care Expert- http://bit.ly/Dr-Prasad-Akole) and am glad to address to your query here.

Alternate constipation and diarrhea, pain the abdomen, tenderness (especially at advancing age ) should be evaluated for any growth/ tumour in the bowel. You should check with your physician and get evaluated. Additionally an ultrasound of the abdomen and pelvis will be helpful.

Can you describe your symptoms in more detail so that we can lead to specific diagnosis.
Differentials are many in the case of abdomen and we need more data.

What is your age/ sex?
Do you have blood stools/ black stools?
Are you losing weight?
Are there any lumps in the tummy/ groin?
Is there any fever?

I hope you are fully satisfied with the guidance I gave.
I would be glad to answer any further queries. May I request you to rate your experience here before you close.
Thank you and Good luck!

Hello and welcome to HCM.

Thank you for your query.

It is important to note your history. Are all these complaints more recent or they have been present for at least more than a month?

If yes, then a proper diagnosis would be required. The possibilities could range from:
-Ulcers
-Irritable bowel syndrome
-Inflammatory bowel disease
-Infections
and many more.

Kindly consult your doctor at the earliest for a proper diagnosis and immediate management from thereon.

I hope I have succeeded in answering your questions, you could write back to me anytime for further clarifications.

Best wishes.
