I am a 66 year old male, 210 pounds, 5 foot 10 inches tall. I was diagnosed with Hepatitis C 14 years ago and have little or no symptoms. Recently it felt like a rib was out in my back. I went to two different chiropractors for treatment but they were not able to put the rib in, if in fact it is a rib. Concerned I went to my Dr. who ordered an x-ray. Today after the tech was finished and as I was getting up to leave he asked me if I had any history of tumors or cancer in my family. I told him I didn't. It feels like a knife is stabbing my lung every time I breathe. The pain is on the left upper side of my back close to the spine, There is a small lump in the area, not swollen or red. Could it be a tumor or a stubborn rib? Why the tech's comment?
