Stabbing Pain All Around Chest, Rash Under The Left Breast. Stage IV Ovarian Cancer. Shingles ?
For past 2 weeks have had stabbing pain all around chest----this is not constant.Today a rash appeared under left breast--6-8 pimple type red rash---could this be shingles?I have 400mgm acyclovir tabs that I take for facial cold sores when I receive chemo----presently on alimta q 3weeks for stage iv ovarian ca. which I have had for 7 years.Thank you,AAAA

Yes the symptoms explained points towards shingles.stabbing pain followed by erythematous papules.it is a viral infection caused by herpes virus.it can be cured by acyclovir 800 mg five times daily for five days.a pain killer ultracet twice daily and application of calora lotion over the lesions in morning and silverex ointment in the night can cause it.
