Spotting After Yeast Infection, In Menopause. Anything To Worry About?

I'll be 49 next month & on the 8th of October, I will be menopausal for 2 yrs. With a recent yeast infection, I've begun spotting, like at the beginning of a period. It's brownish-reddish, but not a true red bleed. I do have my annual OB/GYN appt coming at the end of October. I will definitely mention to him but want to know right now, if you think it's anything to worry about or what could it possibly mean?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi, it appears to be the result of the infection, so for cure of the yeast infection, or some other simultaneous infection, i advise you to consult a gynacologist for diagnosis and treatment, as it will be common to have a lot of infections at this time of life. Thank you.

General & Family Physician Dr. Het Ram Bishnoi 's  Response
Hello,
Thanks for the query to H.C.M. Forum.
As you stated that there is yeast infection , so this brownish-reddish spotting may be due to yeast infection .
Sometimes patient may have reddish ( light) spotting even after menopause and this is absolutely normal.
In my opinion this is not a cause of concern as there is no foul smelling. Good luck.
