Spotting After Taking Plan B, Fishy Smelling Discharge. Reason?

Hello, I took Plan B and I didn t fully get my period I just spotted a little and now the discharge that I m letting out smells very weird kind of fishy and metalish. I m pretty sure it s my discharge because of the Plan B but I need a firm answer. I never had any odors before I m very clean and I make sure I stay aways from infections.

OBGYN 's  Response
Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
The mild spotting after taking plan B is a normal finding since it is a high dose hormonal pill and can cause such withdrawal bleeding. The fishy smell could be due to a vaginal infection that needs treatment.
I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you.
