Soreness, Weakness, Joint Pain, Swollen Joints, Acidity. Taking Simvistatin. Side Effects?
I have been on 20 Mgs of Simvistatin daily for many years. My cholesterol test are well within normal ranges. In the last year or so I have experienced muscle soreness, weakness, joint pain, swollen joints and abnormal gas . Could I stop taking the simvistatin temporarily to see if these things would go away? What would be the dangers of quitting my dosage temporarily

Hi, it appears that the findings are due to the side effects of the simvistatin, probably due to the normal levels of cholesterol.
You can stop the tablets, but continue half the dose if your doctor prefers. For gastric irritation, which also encountered You can use anti ulcerants.
