Soreness And Redness In Pubic Region, White Bump With Pus And Pubic Hair. Herpes?
Hello, today I awoke from my sleep with a feeling of soreness in my pubic region, when going to the bathroos I noticed a redness near my upper right pubic region and found a white head like bump that almost looked like a blister from the sides (still had a white head) when I examined it I decided to pop it using some toilet paper, and viewed the fluid that came out to be at first a bit thick like pus but then a neutral yellow fluid. I have gotten thee before and usually after I pop them there is no scarring (outside of a scab sometimes) and tends to heal in 3-4 days. Since this has happened atleast 2-3 times in the past 4 months I wanted to know if this sounded anything like herpes and if I should get this viewed by a doctor (I have no health insurance) Also the day prior to this I was wearing tighter boxers then usual and tight work pants, also after popping the pimple when pulling the toilet paper away a bit of pubic hair came with it. Welcome and thanks for posting your query to HCM.
After reading your query, the very first thing to tell you is that it is not at all herpes. Herpetic lesions starts as vesicles which have clear fluid and most common site of occurrence is on or near penis or labia. Now in your case these were whitish to begin with, present over pubic region and one important thing of association is pubic hair. So, this condition most likely appears to be folliculitis rather than herpes. Folliculitis is blockage of pore of opening of oil gland attached to the hair leading to inflammation and pus formation.
Kindly do not wear tight clothes and do not also pop up the lesions as can get further aggravated.
You should wear loose cotton underwear and change them two time a day. You can apply some antiperspirant powder to reduce sweating. Stay in cool environment rather than hot and humid environment. You can apply any good antibiotic cream for the best relief.
So be stress free and relieve your tensions regarding any STD's.
