Soreness And Pain In Breast After And Before Periods After Stopping Breastfeeding. Hormonal Imbalance?
I'm 28 yrs old. I have a kid of 2 1/2 yrs old. I stopped breast feeding during day time at her 1 and 1/2 yrs and completely stopped breast feeding at her 2 1/4 yrs (i.e.before 3 months). After stopping feeding I had a very sore breasts during my periods. For the past two months my breasts are paining after 10 days of my periods to the next periods. That is, in a month, my breasts are without pain only for a week or ten days. The remaining days it is paining. Wat may be the reason for this? Is it because of hormonal imbalance? I'm not using any type of contraceptives or we r not having intercourse. Thank you.
hello Thanks for your query. After stopping breastfeeding, there are minor hormonal changes in your breasts, as the pattern formed during lactation comes back to normal. However, this amount of pain every month is also not normal. There is a condition in which a woman might have lumpy and painful breasts ( fibrocystic breast disease ). Please consult your gynecologist to ensure that this is not the case. Take care.
