Sore Throat, Ulcer On Side Of Tongue, Throat. How Can I Treat It?
I had quite a large number of ecstasy tablets that were mainly made with MDMA on the weekend and that day I developed an incrediably sore throat . Talking, eating and drinking hurts. I have a huge ulcer on the side of my tongue and what feels like ulcers down the left hand side of my throat. Has taking these drugs caused this and what can I do to treat it?

First of all I should inform you that taking MDMA is dangerous and should not be taken.
Mouth ulcers can be caused by a number of causes including some drugs.
You should take B-complex vitamin supplement along with local application of benzocaine gel on ulcers to decrease the pain sensation. Gel should be applied about half an hour before meals. Avoid spicy foods.
Doing gargles with Betadine gargle will help in curing any infection of the throat.

You presenting with oropharyngitis complicated by ulcer of tongue. This probably of bacteria origin as it is most often caused by it. You can take oxacillin or penicillin V for 3-7 days, associate with a mouth wash solution ( with bactericidal properties) like hextril solution. An analgesic pain killer will be appropriate.
