Sore Throat, Pain In Right Ear, Pain In Neck. What Could Be This?
I am a 41 years old female. For the past 3 years I have had a dull sore throat. More so on the right hand side below the jaw line. It seems to be getting worse. It's sore when I move my neck at times and more recently my right eat is constantly painful. I can feel the pain in my neck when I push on that area but can't see or feel a lump! The pain is there all the time but some days are worse than others. Please advise me as to what it might be. Thank you!
Hello, if you have dull sore throat or throat irritation--- You need to take care of two things 1. nasal allergies / disease like blockage,discharge etc if you have,,,, as the nasal discharge fall back in throat and irritates it. you need to consult your ENT specialist to get examination and CT scan nose with plain coronal views limited cuts,, if required to rule out any disease in nose and paranasal sinuses 2. Take care of reflux, It is one of the reason for recurrent throat irritation ,, it doesnot matter you feel heart burn acidity or not. Take--- Antacids and antireflux medicines . Precautions— Keep head end of bed elevated. Avoid alcohol, Smoking Do brisk walking daily Go for walk after dinner Avoid spicy food Avoid late night coffee
