Sore Throat, Fever And Feel Exhausted. Pus Filled Pockets Over Gums. What Can Help Me?
Hi! I have a sore throat , fever,and just feel exhausted. Naturally my doctor prescribed me antibiotics for strep . I have only been taking them for a day, so not much progress, but I have huge puss filled pockets over my gums where my wisdom teeth haven t come in yet. This started happening at the same time. Is this a side-effect of strep or something else?

you are complaining of pus filled pockets over the gums and sore throat,it shows you have infection over the wisdom tooth with an abscess draining. a x ray examination will show the positioning of wisdom tooth and the spread of infection, if the tooth is impacted in bone there are less chances of eruption without damage so you can go for surgical removal of wisdom tooth. sore throat and fever is due to pharyngitis caused by abscess draining and poor oral hygiene. gargling with lukewarm saline or antiseptic mouthwash will give you soothing effect,you need a antibiotic course of augmentin and NSAID'S with serratiopeptidase for 5 days. take care
