Sore Throat, Ear Pain, Loss Of Voice. Swollen Jaw. Need Help
I had a sore throat which moved from the left side to the right side and turned to right ear pain over a week. It felt better today and basically subsided until I ate some spicy chips and salsa and now my voice is almost gone(extremely hoarse) and the left side under my jaw is warm and slightly swollen. Any help on this? Thanks
Hello, The sore throat and ear pain can be due to- Tonsillitis. Throat infection due to common cold and flu. Impacted wisdom tooth which is inflamed. I would advice you to visit a dentist and get the decayed or impacted tooth extracted. The flap overlying tooth has to be removed,to enhance eruption of wisdom tooth if there is adequate space for tooth eruption. Frequent warm saline and betadine gargle can be done. Take complete course of antibiotics-analgesics. If symptoms persists, please do visit an ENT specialist. Hope this helps.
