Sore Throat, Cough. Temporary Relief From Amoxicillin. Permanent Remedy?
for the past 5-6 days I am suffering with sore throat and coughing. My throat is burning and have cough continuously. I have this problem once in every 2-3 months. My family physician prescribes some antibiotics like amoxlicin with which I get relief, but the problem starts again after some time. Please suggest a permanent remedy.
take these points into consideration which may offer you permanent remedy or at least improve your symptoms:
1. Get a complete examination by an ENT who will rule out the presence of tonsillar enlargement and sinusitis both of which can cause the symptoms you mentioned and both are curable
2. Avoid drinking cold water and if you are a frequent traveler then you must definitely be careful on what and where you drink water
3. Are you straining your voice in anyway or does your work involve speaking for a long time with strain, if yes then try not to strain your voice
4. Never sleep in the direct blast of the AC and fan. Also clean the filters of your AC as regularly as possible. The same with the bedsheets and towels you use.
hope these help, if not get back to me
regards
