Hello, I got kicked in the shin playing rugby about a month ago. It created a large bruise/ goose egg on my shin. Its been about a month now and the swelling hasnt gone down. There is pain all along my shin when i run and also in the top of my foot. The particualr area where i got hit is also still very sore and sensitive. What could be wrong?

Hello,
As you have got a swelling and bruise over your shin a month back and still not gone down, there must have been a bad injury.
The anterior surface of tibia bone lies below the skin in the shin region.
You have not mentioned if the swelling has decreased or is the same since it first appeared.
If its very painful, I would suggest you to go to an orthopedic surgeon and get a X ray of your leg with the ankle joint.
Hope this helps.
