Sore Knee, Pain At Night. Normal X Ray, Slight Sprain. Suggestions?

Female/59 yrs.
In the morning everything is good.
But during the nighttime I have a sore knee, every time I get up, it hurts. I've been to my doctor and had an xray no arthritis etc. She said it could have been a slight sprain but it is still hurting and it has been one month. Any suggestions?

a sudden pain in join pain the most likely reason is sprain. The pain mostly felt in the night at during the day it get unnoticed. In your age it takes little time to heal. treatment suggested is hot compression and can take NSAIDs under guidance of your physician.
