Sore Knee, No Swelling, Warms Up. Knee Cartilage Surgery. Will It Disappear?

I had my right knee cartilage surgery last year... its now getting better, the left knee now started to get sore I can sense it similar (cartilage ) is this common if other knee?, likely other will go as well, been resting up now & again its sore, its not swollen at all, been taking pain killer for pain relieved before I took part at playing sport, its seems after doing warm up & starts running the pain seems disappeared. any advice?

Hi and thanks for the query,
I ts worth noting that the knee is one of the most complex joints in the body. After knee surgery, it is not unusual to observe some pain for quite sometime. However, it should decrease as time fades. If you have been noting a steady decrease, then its fine. If there is persistent pain, aggravation of the intensity of the pain or onset of symptoms that never existed before, it shall be important that you revisit your orthopedic surgeon. An MRI and X rays could be required to evaluate the quality of healing in the knee. Other drugs or procedures like physiotherapy could then be prescribed depending on the case.
Thanks and best regards,
Luchuo, MD.
