Sore Breasts, Pain On Touching, Reddish Inverted Nipples. Concerned

Hi, this is the 2nd time I have experienced extremely bad soreness in my right breast. It occurs underneath my nipple area and surround, it is very hard and hurts if touched. My veins in my breast also stand out. Went to the DR last time with it and was told not to worry but it has occurred again. It lasts for about 4 weeks. My breast/nipple area sometimes looks red and feels hot to touch like an infection. My nipple was inverted this time. There has been no nipple discharge. It does not coincide with my periods.

Hi,
You have retracted nipple ?permanent or temporary you have to judge. Your nipple connected with the rest of the breast lobules which are called as Lactiferous ducts otherwise called as milk ducts.
You have extreme soreness in your right breast underneath your nipple area and surrounding area. Very hard and hurts when touched. The veins looks engorged. along with retraction of nipple.
The pain redness explains it is an inflammatory process which needs antibiotic and anti infammatory treatment. As there is no discharge from the nipple your milk duct might have got blocked. This is noway connected with your periods. Mammography is a must to rule out other causes. Consult a gynecologist/general surgeon for treatment. Otherwise no major problem.
Best wishes
