Sonogram Showed Uterus With A Intra-uterine Gestation, Crumpled Yolk Sac. What Does That Mean?
my wife's first trimester sonogram reads"uterus with a single non viable intra-uterine gestation.the C.R.L of thnon-pulsating fetal pole is 1.9 cm which corresponds to 8 weeks & 3 days.the yolk sac is crumpled.
fetal heart actvity is absent.expected geastational age is 15 weeks & 4 days.
Please tell me what this means

Your ultrasound report suggests a non viable or dead embryo (baby), at a very early stage. The absent cardiac (heart) activity confirms this. Hence I would advise you to repeat the scan again after 2 days. If this too confirms the findings of dead embryo- (embryonic demise), then consult a gynecologist on how to terminate the pregnancy.
