Thank you for your query,
Smoking weed will harm the baby by causing harmful effects on baby growth and nervous system.
Children of weed smokers will have deficits of attention and judgement and are more prone for blood malignancy.
The baby may have intrauterine growth retardation.
Inspite of supplementation with vitamins and healthy diet, the harmful effects of weed smoking will persist so avoidance of smoking is advised.
Hope i have answred your query.

Pediatrician Dr. Synthyia Bhagat's  Response
Thanks for your query,
Smoking cannabis or weed has several detrimental effects on growing fetus.
There is intrautrine growth retardation as weed interfere with blood supply to fetus and deprive him of oxygen.IUGR babies have their own problems of jaundice, infections and many more.
There is increased chances of SIDS(sudden infant death syndrome)
Delayed development milestones.
Hyperactive behavior,learning and memory problems.

Eating good food, taking vitamins will not do any good to fetus.
So i advise to quit smoking for better health of mother and child,

Take care.
God bless
